On April 6, 2025, partial human remains were discovered in Sells, Arizona.
The remains were found in a remote desert area. They consisted of a weathered skull and incomplete, infra-cranial skeletal elements that showed signs of exposure to the elements.

A weathered motorcycle license was also recovered at the scene. It had been issued in 2019 in Quintana Roo, Mexico, to a Guatemalan national named Marwin Esteban Hernandez Martinez, who has reportedly been missing.
The man also had a lighter in his possession bearing the following text:
"AV. Lopez Portillo SM60 MZA (1?) Lote 17 loc 3, Cancun Q. Roo – Tracasa@hotmail.com – 998 892 7462 – 255 6500" (some digits unclear).
